Error Message: Unable to connect with the activation server,...


Summary

An error message is encountered when trying to perform initial product activation: “Unable to connect with the activation server, please contact customer support”.

Applies To

New Dell Edition Windows Shield customers.

Solution

Occasionally our activation server will receive a high number of activation requests at the same time, resulting in a connection failure error. Most customers are able to resolve this by simply re-running the activation procedure, but on rare occasions a third attempt may be required.

If you have tried multiple times to activate and still receive the message, contact CREDANT Support by email at delledition@credant.com. To speak to a support representative, call 888-359-3608.
